Entertainment Applications

Monix is an Android utility app promoted on a cost-per-install basis, with the payable action defined by the advertiser as Run The App (New Users Only) — the user must install and actually open the app to generate a valid conversion.

Conversion goal: install plus first app launch by a new user; returning or previously registered users do not qualify.
Technical requirement: Android 7.0 and up — older devices will not complete the flow.
Traffic tips: incentivised placements, offer walls and reward-based app discovery work well here, as the required action is short and easy to complete.

What is Content Locking?

Imagine you are on a toll bridge and you want to cross. There has to be a fee paid before you will be able to cross the bridge and enjoy the bounty that is on the other side. This is the same sort of process that is followed when it comes to content locking. The system allows you to be sure you will be paid for times when your content is accessed. Regardless of what you have online – it could be a video, article or app – there is a way to make sure that no one gets to access it unless they pay you. Read more.

What is CPA, Cost-Per-Action?

CPA or Cost per Action – sometimes cost per acquisition, although this is not as common a term – is a way to work out what you will need to pay in order to get people using your services. It is going to cost more to work under the cost per action system than it will cost per click as while many people will click on a link, in order to gain more information, not all will go any further. It could be that the link does not take them to anything they want, or simply because they are trying to get information at that stage rather than actually making a purchase. Read more.
