Terms and Conditions:

Please read the following terms and conditions before joining the Chums affiliate programme. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in your relationship being terminated and any commission earned reversed through the affiliate program.

Misuse of brand
Affiliates are prohibited from using the Chums brand to create branded websites, Facebook pages (containing Chums in the page name) or alike that violate the Chums brand or may mislead the user.
Chums retains all intellectual property rights in Chums services, websites, platforms, and technology. Chums hereby grants affiliates a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, worldwide, license for the use, in compliance with the provisions of this agreement, of the Chums affiliate programme for the purposes of this agreement set forth.

Use of Chums creatives and imagery

- Affiliates are strictly prohibited to make any alterations to the banner creatives and other images provided on the programme. Affiliates must only use the creatives and content provided by/through the Chums programme and are not allowed to create their own materials unless permitted to do so and upon approval.
- Should an affiliate require a customized design, new text link or different banner size, the request must be sent to the Chums team via the TradeTracker account manager for approval.
- Affiliates are also requested not to hardcode banners into their sites.
- Under no circumstances are publishers allowed to surreptitiously use iframes to set network cookies onto a user’s computer.

Chums Promotions

• Affiliates must only promote offers/events/promotions/codes communicated to them through the affiliate channel.
• Commission will not be paid if the terms of the program are broken.

Commission

• Chums operates a 30 day cookie window.
• VAT is not included in the commission payment.
• Delivery cost is not included in the commission payment.
• Commission will not be paid on orders that are cancelled or returned.

De-Duplication - Chums will be de-duping against the following channels across all affiliates partners:

• Email
• Another Affiliate
• Generic PPC Ads
• Display
• Refer a friend code used at checkout
• Retargeting
• CSS (Google Shopping)

PPC / SEM /SEA

• PPC / SEM /SEA is strictly prohibited on the Chums program, any requests for this promotional activity must be submitted to the TradeTracker and have strict approval from the brand in writing.
• Publishers are not allowed to display their ads when the brand name is entered as a search keyword
• Publishers are not allowed to display their ads when misspellings of the brand name are entered as search keywords
• Publishers are not allowed to display their ads when the brand name plus generic words are entered as search keywords
• Publishers are not allowed to use the brand name in the display URL
• Publishers are not allowed to use the brand name within the title and description
• Publisher should add the brand name into the negative keywords (thus preventing publishers from appearing in brands + generic)
• The following specific keywords should not appear in the publisher ads:
• chums.co.uk
• www.chums.co.uk
• chums
• Chuma

If publishers do not comply with the above requirement (including subnetworks), publishers will be removed from the programme and all commissions that have been found to have been influenced by the unauthorised/prohibited activity will be declined.

Toolbars & Browser Extensions

• Publishers are not allowed to include Chums on any toolbars or browser extensions without express permission from the Chums or TradeTracker team.

Transaction Queries
• Untracked transactions will only be accepted if the query was uploaded within 120 days of the sale taking place. Any transaction queries falling outside of the 120 day period will be rejected
• All cashback publishers should ensure that this is added to the Chums merchant page terms and conditions

Voucher Code Usage

• Commission will not be awarded on sales where a voucher code has been used for promotion outside of the affiliate program or from Chums’ own CRM messaging including offline paid media advertising. Please note all partners should not allow user submitted content in this regard and should be set to be approved by uploading on their own domains. All codes are not applicable on items over £150.

Terminating Affiliate Partnerships

• Should any of the above terms and conditions be breached, Chums have the right to remove any publisher from the programme with immediate effect.
• Chums, in its sole discretion, has the right to remove any publisher from the programme with immediate effect.

CSS (Google Shopping)

• Publishers are not allowed at this time to run any CSS activity, this is due for review and if you have a request to activate CSS (Google Shopping) promotions then this can only be done with the prior written consent of the Chums or TradeTracker team.

Cashback / Transaction Claims - Please note that any missed or untracked transaction claims must be submitted with 120 days of the original transaction date. Failure to submit this to the TradeTracker team with this time frame will mean an automatic decline of the claim and transaction.
